It’s Cut and Dry : Why Wet Abrasive Blasting Sets The Industry Standard

Wet abrasive blasting (also known as dustless blasting, vapour blasting or wet blasting) has become the industry standard in Australia when it comes to preparing and cleaning surfaces, superseding many of the conventional dry blasting methods such as shot blasting or soda blasting.
There are several reasons behind this shift to improved wet blasting technologies, the most notable being enhanced workforce safety, the increased operating efficiency it affords, and greater efficacy when it comes to surface preparation.
Dustless blasting
With conventional dry blasting methods like air blasting, where dry blast media such as silica sand is propelled with enormous force against the substrate, particles from the media can produce significant amounts of dust as it breaks down on hitting the surface. This dust containing remnants of the media then has the potential of being inhaled by operators if their PPE doesn't provide sufficient protection, while it can also spread beyond the immediate …

Dustless blasting has shown itself to be more cost-effective, versatile and environmentally-friendly than conventional dry blasting methods, whilst also achieving better results in a huge range of different applications. We have used our dustless blasting equipment and machines throughout Adelaide and across South Australia, working with a variety of customers large and small, and they too have come to appreciate how dustless blasting is able to achieve results that other forms of abrasive blasting can’t match.

Faster Dustless blasting is able to achieve results far more quickly than other blasting methods. This is because the blast media is contained within water and this reduces the friction when it hits the surface. But if you’re looking to sell your home and move, or rent out your property, there are any number of expenses involved and so it might not be the case that you have huge sums in reserve to be able to undertake major renovations on the exterior of your home to increase its value and attract more potential buyers.
